5. GB 10769-2010 National Food Safety Standard Cereal-based Complementary Foods for Infants and Young Children 


a. Product labelling should comply with the provisions in GB 13432. In addition, nutrients and optional components content per 100kJ should be also indicated.

b. Product categories specified in 4.1-4.4 should be indicated on the label, e.g., high protein cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children.

c. For 4.1 cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children, “prepared with milk or other suitable liquid containing protein” or similar items should be indicated on the label. 



6. GB 10770-2010 National Food Safety Standard Canned Complementary Foods for Infants and Young Children


a. Product labelling should comply with the provisions in GB 13432. In addition, nutrients and optional components content per 100 kJ should be also indicated.

b. Infant/child age for suitable feeding, instruction for preparation and notes for feeding should be indicated on the label.

c. The content of puree of fruits or vegetable should be declared for the juice products.


7. GB 31601-2015 National Food Safety Standard Nutritional Complementary Foods for Pregnant and Lactating Women


a. Product name shall be indicated as “Nutritional Complementary Foods for Pregnant Women” or “Nutritional Complementary Foods for Lactating Women” or “Nutritional Complementary Foods for Pregnant and Lactating Women” according to suitable crowd.

b. “This product is not a substitute for normal diet” and ‘This product add several micronutrients, please pay attention to eat with other similar products” should be indicated on the label.

 


8. GB 24154-2015 National Food Safety Standard General Standard for Sports Nutrition Food

a. “Sports Nutrition Food” and the product categories should be indicated on the label. 

b. The unsuitable crowd, if any, should be indicated on the label.

c. “Pregnant women, lactating women, children and infants are not suitable for consumption” should be indicated on the product label added with creatine.

9. GB 22570-2014 National Food Safety Standard Complementary Food Supplement

a. Product labelling should comply with the provisions in GB 13432. “Complementary food supplements” and (or) the corresponding category of “Complementary nutrient supplements”, “Complementary nutrient supplement tablets” and “Complementary nutrients supplement sprinkles” should be declared on the label.

b. Label shall be identified by the different month, and ‘this product add several micronutrients, please pay attention to eat with other similar products” should be indicated on the label. As to the product for infants of 6-36 months old, “this product is not a substitute for breast milk and the complementary foods for infants and young children” shall also be indicated on the label.

10. GB 15266-2009 National Food Safety Standard Sports Beverage

a. The content of soluble solids, sodium and potassium should be indicated on the label.


NOTE!

Whether the National Food Safety Standard is selected as implementation standard or not, product labelling should comply with the provisions in relevant National Food Safety Standard as long as the product falls into the corresponding category.
