Over the last two weeks, 155.5 tonnes of Kazakhstani and 55.2 tonnes of Kyrgyz products have been detained by inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in the Novosibirsk region at the phytosanitary control post "Karasuk". The shipments consisted of onions, carrots, plums, grapes, pears, apples, cucumbers, hot peppers and other products from the republics of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan which were intended for sale in Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk and Khabarovsk, reported the press service.

"In the course of the quarantine phytosanitary inspections, it was found that lots of products of high phytosanitary risk lacked the necessary labels containing information on the name of the product, country of origin, exporter and/or re-exporter or arrived with invalid phytosanitary documents," the report says.

In accordance with the requirements of international quarantine legislation, the products were refused access to the territory of the Russian Federation. All shipments were returned to the senders.
